I took those two photos on a transatlantic in August of that year. It was one of the few voyages she had with black hull, red funnel and yet retained her original stern - which was perfection. I have two of the original chairs here in my guest bedroom...

That second last photo of Chris show those sliding doors, they used to slide in to block the Queens Room off for the Captains Cocktail Parties.But they were nightmare to close used to be always jammed and in heavy seas i did see a few just get our of the locks and just slide across, lucky i never seen anyone get hit by them.
